Double plates for wall systems

Fornari’s precast double plates represent a rational and economical alternative to the traditional construction of reinforced concrete walls. In fact, they completely eliminate the use of formworks, thus saving significantly in terms of time and money.
Fornari’s double plates for wall systems are manufactured according to strict quality standards. The final product has improved mechanical properties with respect to traditional wall.
The double plates are made of two concrete layers  connected by a variable number of electro-welded lattice girders. After casting the foundations, Fornari’s reinforced concrete double plates are used as permanent formwork for cast-in-situ concrete, which, when hardened, forms a structurally composite wall with the double plates. Double plate reinforcing steel constitutes the main reinforcement of  the wall. 
The relatively low weight of this precast element allows an easy handling through medium power hoisting machines.
Fornari’s double plates are especially appropriate when the metal formwork finishing with sight joints is accepted (such as home garages, car-parks, industrial buildings, warehouses etc.). They can also be used in case of underground walls (containment or supporting walls, underground floors, basins, subway boxes etc.), because the digging work is reduced.

FINISHINGS
The sight surface of Fornari’s double plates can either be plain or coated with natural stones of various color, type, and size, according to customer’s demand. This finishing is particularly indicated when environmental aspects are important.

Each delivery is accompanied by a complete set of documents for an easy use of the products:
- Executive plans and explanatory technical data sheets

And by a all legal certifications
- EC certificate and declaration of performance
  ( EN 14992:2012, EN 15258:2009); 
- Copy of inspection certificate for the production process 
released by a notified body;
